Designer, Seamstress, & Outdoor Enthusiast
Hi, I’m Sophie—a designer, seamstress, and outdoor enthusiast born and raised in Denver, Colorado. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Apparel Design and Production from Colorado State University in December 2024. Prior to CSU, I attended Savannah College of Art and Design from 2019–2020, where I completed foundational art and design coursework before leaving due to the pandemic. While at CSU, I worked as a professional tailor, repairing both formal garments and industrial soft goods. Since graduating, I’ve spent time exploring the wilderness of Colorado and Alaska, gaining valuable professional and personal experience along the way.
My love for the outdoors fuels my passion for designing outdoor and active apparel, with a strong focus on sustainability. I’m constantly seeking ways to reduce environmental impact through my work—whether by repurposing materials or incorporating more sustainable options. I also have a deep appreciation for color and detail, and I enjoy creating functional, performance-driven apparel that is visually engaging without sacrificing purpose.
I am currently seeking a full-time design position with an outdoor or active apparel company. Please see my contact information and linked resume below for more details on my professional experience.
